VAT Online Compulsory from April 2010

From April 1st 2010, if your company has an annual turnover of £100,000 or more excluding VAT you will have to submit your VAT return online and pay your VAT electronically.

If you are an existing client of PCBS then you will be familiar with this procedure already as we complete this transaction for most of our clients. If however you are unfamiliar or unsure that this is something you would feel confident in, then give us a call and we will submit your returns for you. All you will need to do is authorise us to complete the work. We can then carry this out regularly for you without your input, so you can carry on running your business instead of lying awake at night worrying about the VAT return !

Christmas Greetings!

PCBS wish all our clients and subscribers a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Our office will now be closed until 4th January when we will be busy again readjusting all the VAT rate changes as it returns to 17.5% from 1st January 2010.

VAT changes as of 1st December 2008

Most businesses are now aware of the Chancellor’s decision to lower the VAT rate in his pre budget report. What does this mean for our clients? Firstly, if you are an existing client then one of our bookkeepers will be able to make the necessary changes to your financial software, if they havent visited you already then changes will be completed on their next visit.
