Christmas with Croydon Chamber of Commerce

Both Paul and I were lucky enough to attend the Croydon Chamber’s Charity network event at Croydon Park Hotel, in aid of St Christophers Hospice last night. As always the successful event was managed by the friendly and efficient team led by Matthew Sims of Croydon Chamber. Maud Alleyne from The Best of Croydon co hosted the event. Entertainment was supplied by the amazing Jared Manley who stunned many of us with his close up magic and psychological illusion. With massages and samples of Christmas cake on hand there was more than enough to keep the evenings delegates amused. The selection of food served by the hotel’s amiable staff was both superbly presented and delicious. The raffle was in aid of St Christophers Hospice and their representative Paul Fennelly assisted Matthew in drawing the winning tickets.

We always enjoy meeting new members of the chamber and find it fascinating hearing about the varied types of businesses, how long they have been established and how the business owners came to be at where they are now. Last night for example seated at our table were; Richard Worsley of Signs Express, Rita Henry of Four Seasons Floral Design, Jennifer Hippolyte from Beyond Expectations Wedding Studio and representatives from Half and Half Lounge Bar – where else would you meet a more differentiated bunch!
